About Destiny
Destiny is a NON-CANON Dinosaur King role play. It has a few ideas of POKEMON and DIGIMON mixed into it to make it a bit more fun and easier to play, only with DINOSAURS!
Role play as a human, a dinosaur or both! Many different dinos to choose from!
We're open to new ideas and suggestions for battles, plots and so on, so jump right in!
A few years ago it all began with an idea and a dream. The idea was that dinosaurs would no longer be harnessed by the cards and owned by people, but instead be brought back into a more natural existence to be studied in places such as zoos and set-aside reserves. The dream was to one day introduce these more natural dinosaurs back to the wild, thus repopulating the earth with the once extinct beasts. This dream was soon to become reality as a certain group of scientists worked tirelessly to find a way to accomplish this, but as they neared the end of their research, their lab was compromised, and all information was stolen.
...until it gets into the wrong hands.
The thief remained unknown, but it was quite clear he was more than capable of finishing the scientists work on his own. It took but about a year, and then, dinosaurs started to appear all over the world. However, these dinosaurs were not the ones the scientists had been hoping for. Although they were free of cards which held them, they still retained their elemental powers, thus making them even more dangerous. Many dinosaurs were destroyed in a panic, however, there were small groups against such actions. It caused great conflict, but governments soon united and were able to find the thief. Of course, by this time, the dinosaurs were loose all over the earth. The small groups that had found fascination with these animals came forward with their own ideas, and over the years, they were able to come to an interesting solution for this problem. Dinosaur Battles. The intention was to make a sport and responsibility to the dinosaurs. To capture, tame and train the dinosaurs. Once captured, it was discovered that the dinosaurs became smaller, and, well, much cuter! This was termed the chibi mode, in which the dinosaur took on a very child-like quality. For a dinosaur, that is. However, when a battle began, they transformed into battle mode, in which his or her full power could be wielded. And, so, it was through this that dinosaurs were spared from another mass extinction.
The current year is 2050 on the planet of earth. Dinosaurs now roam once again in the wild. Dinosaur Battling is now a very common sport. It takes much work, but many are very competitive in it. Trainers must capture and tame their dinosaurs, and then train them. They capture them through battling wild dinosaurs, which are worn down and can be trapped in a special square disk, which was used to replace the cards of the past. Once captured, it is a task to tame and train the dinosaurs, but once done, it is the ultimate fighting weapon. Tournaments take place all over the world for the Dinosaur Battling, and it all boils down to who has the best team. The one who does, walks away as the Dinosaur King.
